Once ‘V2’ has been activated then the Post and Go machines will offer new products and services, including the facility to process Special Delivery, Recorded Signed For and Parcelforce Worldwide products both inland and overseas. We are used to the Wincor Post and Go kiosks being used at Stampex , however it now appears that the Post Office like to show their latest equipment at other non-philatelic shows! On 11th and 12th May the 6th National Digital Conference at Old Billingsgate London EC3 took place see:- http://www.nd11.co.uk/. The event […]

A new identifier ‘RSF’ was introduced for circumstances where a ‘Home Shopping Return’ requires a ‘Recorded Signed For’ add-on. This means that a max value of 77p is possible. For a […]

Upon checking with other […]
On April 1st 2011, The roll out of the ‘Type 2’ font commenced with the upgrade of Kiosks Nos. 1-3 at the Ludgate Circus ‘Tudor Street’ self-service facility. Shown is a last and first day cover showing the adjacent session numbers of the stamps vended either side of the upgrade. The upgrade have continued throughout […]
Pictorial Faststamps: Birds 3 – 19 May 2011
The third set of Faststamps depicting birds will be issued on 19 May, one of three sets to be issued this year. As before, these will be sold from Post & Go machines at selected Post Offices across the UK and from the Philatelic Bureau at Tallents House. The third set depicts the birds that can be found on or close to Britain’s lakes, rivers and streams.
Post & Go terminals allow customers to weigh their letters and packets, pay for and print postage labels and stamps without the need to visit the counter. The first Post & Go machine was trialled in The Galleries Post Office® in Bristol in 2007.
The labels can be obtained with 5 different service indicators: 1st class & 1st class Large up to 100gr, Europe up to 20gr, Worldwide up to 10gr and 20gr, singly or in strips of up to 5 of the same value or various values. Thus there are 30 different value/design combinations in total.
